Hi, I just made finnish Wiki page for Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 - that model has Carl Zeiss optics. It uses uvcvideo module, so Ubuntu 7.10 works out of box. Some highlights.

Two programs to watch. uvcview-20071108 - http://www.arkki.info/howto/LogitechPro9000/wiki/uvcview.png luvcview-20070512 - http://www.arkki.info/howto/LogitechPro9000/wiki/luvcview.png Luvcview cam also capture (11s) - http://www.arkki.info/howto/LogitechPro9000/wiki/luvcview.avi 2. Microphone Microphone is not bad at all for podcasting or something. arecord -D plughw:1,0 -c 1 -f cd -v testi.wav - http://www.arkki.info/howto/LogitechPro9000/wiki/testi.ogg 4. Ekiga and Skype worked too 5. Finnish Wiki page - http://wiki.ubuntu-fi.org/Logitech_QuickCam_Pro_9000 This webcam is not a cheapest one but this time you can really do something with it - record podcast, stream and capture video and chat with your brother who still use some strange OS ;-).
