The Mactel pages that Stamper linked are pretty helpful. If you're using
Hardy, you should have no issues getting a good-working machine, although
you will probably have to use proprietary drivers for the wi-fi. JACK and
RT all work great under Hardy. Jaunty, however, doesn't work so well (at
least, on my first generation macbook). All the macbooks require at least a
little fiddling, so be prepared to spend a bit of time ironing out the
wrinkles.
