Thanks ALOT for your input! I don't have that much resolutions options to chose from. And as you mention this, i noticed i can chose between 2 very odd values 1366x768 or 1360x768
I first tought it would make a big difference, (as you can see on this screenshot it is clearly not properly aligned to the screen raster http://sakrecoer.com/pixelerror.png ) But no... no noticeable change... I'll try to fibble with gama and the xrandr command which seems to allow me to use custom sizes. However, i must confess that i fear this hole issue is, in my case, due to the hardware configuration i run. I'll keep you posted if i make any progress :) Thanks a zillion again for your time, Set On 10/16/2012 05:20 PM, Ralf Mardorf wrote: > On Tue, 2012-10-16 at 17:04 +0200, Ralf Mardorf wrote: >> On Tue, 2012-10-16 at 16:58 +0200, Ralf Mardorf wrote: >>> On Tue, 2012-10-16 at 15:58 +0200, Set Hallstrom wrote: >>>> I'd be interested in knowing any other tricks. >>> >>> /etc/X11/xorg.conf >>> >>> https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-studio-users/2012-October/008594.html >>> >>> The Gamma 1.0 seems to be a default, I could comment it out, but if I >>> e.g. increase it 1.5 or 4.0, then it has got effect to my CRT.
