Keyword is suspect. Unfortunately Adobe, Oracle and others are selling out or
renting out space to other companies and forcing upgrades, perhaps
unnecessarily. In order to put more coin in the bank. Its still a Windows/Mac
world in terms of what drives it. Free software there means usually
crippleware, sponsorware, adware, anything but freeware.
There are more exceptions to free use than there is use. Mozilla has told me
so many times that I should upgrade shockwave, flash player and all that in
windows, but not as often in Linux. Your probably right, until the time when
the public wakes up and finds out that what runs Android, can run their
computer very nicely.
I don't think any of us are holding our breath for that day. It would be nice,
but....
