If u opens hydrogen it can be the switch to jack audio. Until u shut jack u may find alsa wont play. U can assign jack to other players . I do. Hydrogen can be set to open jack on launch also. Handy but if u forget that jack runs in background. Normal workarounds . Cheers - Robert
