It might have or might not have to do with (U)EFI/Secure Boot. Assumed (U)EFI/Secure Boot shouldn't be the culprit, there could be at least two other issues and perhaps more.
I already pointed out, consider to care about: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-studio-users/2016-March/010627.html the above is much likely an issue for you, even if there should be an additional (U)EFI/Secure Boot issue. Search the Internet or send a request to Microsoft, how to continuously disable "Hiberboot", "Hybrid Boot" or "Fast Boot", so that you don't need to push the SHIFT key while clicking on shutdown. I'm not willing to provide more links, but believe me, it takes 2 seconds and you'll get hundreds of links, how to disable this crap forever. Another known issue, not that much likely as the first mentioned issue: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-users/2016-March/284710.html However, seriously, this is a Linux mailing list, if Microsoft doesn't care about users, it's nothing that should be discussed and get solved on Linux mailing lists. If you really need Windows outside of a virtual machine, consider to at least switch from Windows 10 to Windows 7. -- ubuntu-studio-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
