I had installed xscreensaver already, even saw the settings for it, but no settings in the Settings Manager. Then I looked for it in Synaptic, and found it was no longer installed, although its related files were still installed. So I reinstalled xscreensaver, now it is working and settings option is available in Settings Manager.

I have recently installed Ubuntu Studio 16.04, but cannot find any screensaver options. Even the ubuntustudio screensaver is no longer available, according to http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/core/xenial/universe/base/ubuntustudio-screensaver

Does this mean that we can no longer use a sceensaver?

I installed a screensaver package, but cannot find any way to change the settings.

This all worked fine in 14.04, so why no longer in 16.04?
