This is patently false (no pun intended). The Indian Parliament had rejected in 2005 an attempt to introduce software patents and out efforts had ensured that the clause that permitted software in combination with hardware was also rejected. As everyone knows, SOFTWARE IS OF USE ONLY ALONG WITH HARDWARE. We are again facing a similar threat, though this time from the bureaucracy.
