The Examples link just got fixed in bug #441986 (and not the one I linked earlier, sorry). I have no idea how the actual directory name could be translated - maybe with some xdg-user-dirs magic? Or maybe it would be simpler just to put the content directly into /usr/share/example-content and remove the directory?
