Well, don't forget that Ubuntu uses Gnome tarballs, which include the
translations - so there is exchange in one direction.

However, as Sebastian says, there is no exchange in the other direction
- - Ubuntu translations are not used by Gnome translator teams, unless the
teams arrange to do so on an individual basis.
