Hi Ubuntu translators, I just want to let you know that we've implemented partial search support: search for strings per PO files. I know you've been waiting for this for a while, so I don't expect much praise, but I hope you'll help us test it and perfect it.
At the moment, we are not yet sure how it will perform (though we are pretty confident at this time, we've gone through a lot of testing and different approaches during the last year), and we require users to be members of the Launchpad Beta testers team. If all goes according to plan, this will go public next month. There is still one caveat though: we are not searching through all plural forms, but that's just so we can get a better estimate of the performance. I'll probably fix that before going public, and if you are interested, the bug to track is here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rosetta/+bug/221353 We encourage everybody to join Launchpad Beta testers team and help further test new features in Launchpad. To do so, please see https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-beta-testers If you are already a member of the Launchpad Beta testers team, we strongly encourage you to use the Search box on the PO file translate pages to look for misspellings and messages you've seen untranslated on your Ubuntu desktop. Just testing how it works is fine as well :) If you've got any comments, we'd of course like to hear about them. Please make sure to check for existing, known bugs first (like the mess that our current filtering form is, which we plan to fix shortly).
