Hello! I just wanted to give you a heads up that a new feature hit last week in Ubuntu, called Remote Login (strings have actually been in quantal since FeatureFreeze, it was just not possible to enable it until last week).

Ted talks about it in a blog here: http://gould.cx/ted/blog/Desktop_in_the_cloud

Right now, it is opt-in only. That is, it isn't visible by default. I think Ted wants to change that, but I'm writing how it is now in quantal.

To enable it, you must do the following:

sudo -u lightdm dbus-launch gsettings set com.canonical.unity-greeter
enable-remote-login true

Once enabled, a new "Remote Login" option in the greeter will appear. Ted describes more in his blog.

I believe the only relevant user-visible strings are in unity-greeter.

Thanks!
