Also, I would recommend anyone starting out with a new language translation for 
Ubuntu to focus on the GNOME desktop. GNOME desktop is going to be the default 
in Ubuntu in the near future. Therefore, I would recommend you to join the 
GNOME Translation project, https://wiki.gnome.org/TranslationProject/ and start 
there.
