One of my friends has a 266MHz/64Mb mini laptop thingy. Has anyone
tried Ubuntu (as in with Gnome) on something that low? How does it
run? Would OpenOffice survive?
It would be painful.
The lowest I've used for any length of time is a 500MHz/64mb, and that really can't deal with Gnome, let alone OOo. Adding an extra 64mb of ram makes it workable, but it is still likely to be very slow.
