Replace vesa with via not VIA. Linux is case sensitive. It *should* work but if it doesnt you will have to log in at the terminal, type "sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf", change via back to vesa, press ctrl+o then ctrl+x, then run "sudo shutdown -r now"
