Well as I'm in the UK and eager to get a good deal on broadband I signed with TalkTalk and they only supply a USB Sagem 8oo modem so its hooked to the BT plug.throiugh the usual fliter. I have lernt that Linux does not like USB to much, is that right?
I tried a router but it cut the speed of my connection to XP on the master drive from 2.3mbps to 1.0mbps.

router? ADSL or cable? How is it connected to your PC?
Kind regards,
