You can write ISOs to CD or to DVD, there's no fundamental difference in the file format (i.e. no such thing as a "CD iso" v. "DVD iso"). Of course, an ISO larger than the capacity of a CD won't fit. My point: you ought to be able to write any ISO up to 4.7GB to a DVD. And using k3b. I've done this.
