Try tailing your syslog (via System > Administration > Log Viewer) while your PC tries to connect, you'll at least be able to find out where the problem lies. Sometimes my Atheros card goes ape and refuses to associate, for which I have to unload and load the kernel module for my card. Other times I've had dhcp problems such as Kris mentioned.
