It looks like there is a package for Hardy (debootstrap 1.0.8), if all else fails I'll just have to hang on until Hardy's fully released or just install a 32-bit version of Hardy in another partition (not ideal as I have 4GB memory and it doesn't appear to support anything more then 3.5GB on 32-bit and I'm not sure if it's likely to make the system unstable or not).
