I added a link on my desktop to my XP partition. Today the icon was replaced with a link to the CD-Rom my son had left in when he shut down XP last night. Removing the CD has got rid of that icon, but I haven't got my XP link back. I can't mount the drive - permission denied.

I'd like to get my XP link back - but I'd also like to know how it vanished. Should I have locked it somehow, similar to the way I lock panel items?
