Well, yes, you need to use the Ctrl modifier. That was implicit. But Ctrl-combinations are still working fine: I can open tabs with Ctrl-T, close windows with Ctrl-W etc. It's just + and - that no longer work. Now they seem to select words or paragraphs of text.
