Handy list - nice one!

Embarrassingly, for a one-time biologist, it took me years to work out
/why/ Microsoft became "Vole".

The British common field vole, you see, is technically called
/Microtus agrestis/.

Which is pleasingly close to an agressive Microsoft.

... and I sometimes write for the Inquirer! 8-)
