It is a VERY strong annoyance!!!! I have also tried to remove stuff (INCLUDING evolution) in the past and I learned to check what it says it will remove as well. You could easily brake the whole system!! I wanted to rem Evo due to it getting its nickers in a twist with our MS Exchange server, Then another time The filter options got messed up and I did not get my new messages EVEN THOUGH the filter box were clean, and AFTER A LOT of messing about I found what files to delete to make it work. I am actually now in the same position again, I do not get my new mail as i did do a filter in the past BUT did also clear the filter... IT IS VERY unfortunate that it is only Evolution (it seems) that interface with MS Exchange... OK I know I can ask my IT dep to enable POP and IMAP but they (as did some OTHER IT guys in this forum) told me in NO uncertain terms that that was NOT an option. Sorry for the use of CAPS but I am very anoyed (eventhough this might not be a bug) that if you try to uninstall 1 app it trys to uninstall GNOME!!! or other criticall components... thanx _______________________________
