I experimented with Ubuntu Studio at one stage, and it seemed to work well.
Ended up reverting (at the time) to DeMuDi/Agnula because I already had it installed on a machine and couldn't be bothered to switch. But I dispute the allegation that Linux doesn't perform on audio because with a low latency kernel it's awesome.
