That's good, not so fussed about using it as a modem as I already have a 
Vodafone 3G modem, although I guess if it is possible with the free data 
allowance then it might be handy for those times I do need a mobile 
broadband connection and can't get any reception on Vodafone (only 
happened a couple of times).

I see, doesn't sound too bad.  I've had a look at SyncML on Windows 
Mobile and Blackberry for a client, they didn't want to use Google but I 
did manage to get it their phones syncing, although for my own use, 
Google sounds just the ticket.

Interesting.  I've got to get a Bluetooth adaptor anyway as I don't 
currently have Bluetooth on the laptop, I will have a look at this though.
