I did the Woking thing when I went to the Linux show at Olympia 2 a few years back and it was a nightmare... had to change at Guildford and then again at Clapham Jn. and the train stopped at about 300 stations in between (places like Cobham and whatever) so I somehow don't think I'll follow that particular strategy ;-)
Perhaps I just caught the London Train System on a "bad day"... the train was also one of those old ones that Sherlock Holmes used to travel in, with little apartments and a corridor... Ho hum, lovely memories :-) Sean On Fri, Jan 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM, Rob Beard <[email protected]> wrote: > Quoting Sean Miller <[email protected]>: > >> I've posted a message to the LUGoG list, so we shall see what response >> we get -- it may be there are several interested, it may be that >> nobody is so we'll see. >> >> I shall let you know. >> >> Sean > > No problem, if all else fails I guess those of who are interested in > going can make our own ways there (either on the train or by car). > I'm still trying to find a cheap ticket from Exeter, South West Trains > advertise tickets from £9 but the cheapest I've found is about £60 > ish.
