Could anyone tell me if this will mount in Linux ?
Ted,
The Panasonic TZ8 can either be connected to the computer with the USB
lead provided or you can insert the SD card in a card reader. In both
cases, Ubuntu will mount it as an external drive. You can then import
your images using your favourite photo manager.
What you will not be able to do under Linux is run the provided software
that accompanies the camera. I suspect that it would run in a virtual
Windows machine under Virtualbox or another similar package although I
haven't bothered to try it. It almost certainly will not run in Wine.
I hope that helps.
