Leaving things plugged in to reduce wear and tear, aside from wanting 3 things plugged in. On a desk my laptop (which only has two ports) has a mouse and the backup drive plugged in most of the time. When I want to sync my phone I have to sacrifice backups or mouse :) Or plug a cheap USB hub in.
