I have one of these sticks although it's the earlier K3565 stick, it just worked. What messages do you get in dmesg when you plug it in?

Mine is detected as a USB Storage device, then it disconnects itself, then detects as a GSM modem /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1.

I wonder if your particular model of modem isn't detected yet as a modem?
