My main requirement, given that LTS wise my main use is server installs, is for Dovecot 2 to be available. That said I think it is in 11.10, so as long as it is stable and there's either 1.x still there or a smooth upgrade process to 2.x (given the changes) I'll be happy. As a desktop OS, as I will be using it as such while it is current, I am sorely tempted to say 'ditch Unity' since if there isn't a major upgrade in usability and stability in 11.10 I will have to continue recommending 10.04 or 10.10 over the 11.x versions. I don't mind recommending it if it simply isn't my cup of tea, but if someone asks me why I don't like it I'm afraid it is simply such a major obstruction to getting any work done that I'm not entirely sure why I'm so determined to give it such a lengthy trial as I am (it actually makes me think fondly of my Windows boot!) [1]. I've not tried Gnome 3.x, but if it hasn't already been done could we have an official Gubuntu release please? [1] sorry to be quite so emotive about it, but personally I really do find it a very incomplete and rushed out package. -- Paul Tansom | Aptanet Ltd. | http://www.aptanet.com/ | 023 9238 0001 ====================================================================== Registered in England | Company No: 4905028 | Registered Office: Crawford House, Hambledon Road, Denmead, Waterlooville, Hants, PO7 6NU -- [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
