If you go to https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk [1]
there is an option at the bottom of the page to unsubscribe to the
list.
If you put your email address in and then click unsubscribe, it'll
take you through the process to get your email address removed from
the list.

You could always switch to the digest option and just get one email a
day (or whatever the frequency is)
