I share Liam's concern about WUBI. A lot of folk seem to use WUBI and think they have 'installed' Ubuntu. This is not the case. Just in case you are not sure: if you installed Ubuntu by booting the live CD then you do have a proper installation and the things folk are saying about re-sizing the partition etc are good advice. But if you put the live CD in with Windows running and let it do its autorun thing, then you used WUBI, and have a virtual filesystem on your Windows drive. If that is the case, you MUST re-install properly - that is by making your computer boot from the CD. Any doubts, please ask.
