I am trying to install the wifi driver rtl8723 for Ubuntu 12.04 kernel 3.5 and was unsuccessful;. I followed https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-uk/2013-February/035810.html
The command wget -O- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57056576/DRIVERS/REALTEK/rtl_92ce_92se_92de_8723ae_linux_mac80211_0006.0514.2012.tar.gz |* tar -xz* returned unexpected end of file ==> So dead end. I have then tried to follow http://marc.info/?l=linux-wireless&m=136483360212000 git clone http://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723au.git sudo make sudo make-install The last stage : sudo modprobe 8723au (after hitting return nothing happened) I rebooted the machine and still no wifi Not sure what to do now Any help would be appreciated Thanks Tammy
