Is anyone aware of an issue with the HUD in 14.10? I left my laptop
running earlier today, just chrome and a file sharing program running,
oh and thunderbird. Came back about three hours later to find it was
unusable and running so slow I couldn't even navigate the dash.
Eventually I got the system monitor loaded and took the following
screenshots:

I was rather surprised to see nearly the whole 8GB ram being used, over
5GB by the hud itself.
So what's going on there I wonder?
