When I install Ubuntu 14.04 as dual-boot, I can boot into Ubuntu from GRUB but the Windows option doesn't work. I've tried the Boot Repair tool from a live USB, but all that does is to add extra entries, none of which work. I installed GRUB on the EFI partition so that shouldn't be a problem. I've gone into the BIOS, and set a Supervisor password, but it still won't let me edit the Secure Boot settings. (I had to do that on my Acer E3 in order to add Ubuntu to the secure boot database). Has anyone managed to get the Windows option in GRUB to work on this particular machine and configuration? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJUiBvrAAoJEO4y8v/rA+4NSJkQAKJI987UFY64WgD3EWGURMZX 6vy07Ikw1v39K6xPP68IrwmS5ghzTudm9UDe+LstknT7MKnlz6dWhog67pjfKicJ FtP9pVpRZsuItciHLrFqoI0A9bDmSVuj2iBTuWlrSiYHl+J2KZ7ISv0ye2JaGtS9 dQMBW+AWquA/CmLuKqy8ZMvFOCXZc7nkXFTZ30Efkjbq4uUz2ASM3Txinp+bW1X/ H8EERN3LXLxYxiwlL+QsA9BtuRy1n6fWD9hJolQC3X/b0iEy6ZlymQSyQatYUZVH xF7HYW+FuHcwN+u8Eg0XLdU63lMghQJNoACTcTHCgB1vbPtOMp8pxiOSeezPc7ai xflMdxNM64ONVwKPqzK8C6TOP7DecHFyaaxslx8Ujm+FqdvWKexSCkqlOJeTQIpW TLRmJwnggv/kkqaoIbziJ7MjnctaPWZD1/MQSFK92h8xp7FMKmGDpHIyklcXC6eV +7SCWV5fEeD5JCoafnwdcXUVYJ0Qm6F3bxLHMB7FA/0mnUjsnb7bsR8iZlHTDsuv 2mnHHbK5+i16DTpGm4gZ1YLmF3daz201d14DLWqbFvdovP9fpnj/Y4xb8Eyp7SS5 bMXjoZdLNqvlVO+8J0aKOE5g6h0CC0Zqko1G+hGkHN3/Q5AoetPQ4mtHIlrafyjF hrd8oKxEwgHhVf0rcer0 =Ugb6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
