I saw someone install 13.04 on a Nexus 7 2012 recently. http://www.noobslab.com/2013/10/review-ubuntu-desktop-on-nexus-7-and.html?m=1 Not sure how useful it is to have an EOL release on that device, but it's certainly possible.
