Michael, wow now theres a development for you. As I see it and have seen done in a business environment would go something like this in this situation. A Governing Council is convened and members elected and put into place, the Reloco Teams (teams would appoint one member to act as a representative) and would have a place on the counsel so that each teams voice is heard. Then they would act similar to a lesion and facilitator's of the Councils decisions, getting the information to the teams and overseeing that everything works correctly and the teams feel that they are involved and have a voice in the council. This would also streamline procedures and lessen confusion between the Counsel, Teams and members. Each team would know who to talk to to voice the op pinions or ideals, the Council would be made aware of these concerns or ideals through the Reloco Team representative on the council. The Team representative would then provide information directly to their teams.
1: To function properly as a group there needs to be strong leadership and chain of command (who do you go to when you have a problem or question) and clear direction that is to be taken to address the situation, follow-ups to complete the cycle, Oh and did I mention "planning" i.e. events, changes, elections and so forth in advanced to assure the process is correct and functional. 2: There needs to be a clear path that members have to express themselves, thus the need for Team leads, to assure that members concerns are being addressed. (Chain of Command) 3: Culpability: knowing where to lay the blame when the ball is dropped, no finger pointing and no he said she said bull-crap. So that when something breaks or is not completed, knowing the Who, What, When and Where things went wrong will help correct the problem soon and faster and set the groundwork to help prevent that situation from happing again and where more work or detail needs to be done. WOW wasn't that fun and easy? :-) Michael Yutzy Creative Webtec http://creativewebtec.com [email protected] On Wed, 2010-10-20 at 13:56 -0400, Michael Gilbert wrote: > Hey all, > > I was looking at historical information about the Ohio loco team in > launchpad.
