Good evening Ohio, I came across some odd behavior tonight and I'm curious whether anyone can explain it. I decided to check whether any remnants were left over from when I removed F-Spot from my system (yes, I could have used apt-get remove --purge, but I didn't). So, since I wasn't quite sure what config-related files & folders might be named (F-Spot vs f-spot, etc) I executed *find ~ -name *f*ot**--and there were no results. However, when I added a "p" to the query, making it *find ~ -name *f*pot**, I did get results (in ~/.config/f-spot, for the curious).
So I'm curious: why would the initial query return no results? Is there an explanation? Did I find a bug? Was my system compromised by quantum Erk #3 and his superior timelord technology? Riddle me that, LoCo. Rick
