After a bit of discussion, we're actually going to open up the election to two seats. I will be moving out of state at the end of May, so rather than hold another election immediately afterward, we'll include it now.
I am bummed that I didn't get to implement some of what I'd hoped to, but I know that Ubuntu Ohio can regain its former glory!
