So, what do I say to this?
With the departure of Jono Bacon as sole community manager on Canonical's
side, there are now multiple community managers within Canonical. There
is a push to concentrate community leadership in Canonical Community Team
instead of bodies such as Community Council (where two of those Canonical
employees that are styled Community Manager have seats) or LoCo Council
(where not one person is a Canonical employee). This is a bit of a
paradigm change.
I wish I had head a heads-up on this. Everybody in Ohio got word just as
Deputy Leader Belkin did in forwarding this.

Hello everybody,
there's a new mailing list available at
[email protected]
As we didn't have a place like this before, we created it so we can have
- discussions around planning community events
- start all kinds of initiatives around Ubuntu
- enthusiasts of the Ubuntu community to kick around
new ideas
- bring people from all parts of our community together
so we can learn from each other
- hang out and have fun
We are looking forward to seeing you on the list as well, sign up here:
https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-community-team
[ Please share this in your parts of the Ubuntu community as well. ]
Have a great day,
Daniel
