William Hale suggested I contact Debian Seattle about sharing a table
at Linuxfest NW this year. So I've subscribed [1] and read the
discussion in the archives. It is unclear to me whether or not folks
from Debian Seattle will be coming north for the fest, and whether or
not you would like to share a table?
It's true that we hand out or burn ISOs for those who request them,
since our release is shortly before LFNW. And yes, as a part of the
Kubuntu team, I know that we get most of our applications from Debian.
We contribute back, as well! In my IRC support, I often mention KDE on
Debian.
The Ubuntu Washington team is rather unorganized right now, as none of
us interested parties has the time to take up leadership. Still, we
have folk who come out for LFNW, people who look forward to us burning
an ISO DVD or thumbdrive for them, and just talking to LFNW attendees
is fun.
Bonus: if you staff a table, you have a convenient place to find
friends, dinner partners, and sometimes, a place to stash your stuff.
Or we can debate init systems. :-)
