It turns out that Joe Terranova still had administrative access to the
Drupal interface, so he was able to snag the content from there -

Excellent. While I can handle the sysadmin side of things (getting
drupal5 installed, which is what is in Hardy) and the planet going, I
really haven't a clue about actually creating a site with Drupal.
Would be nice to just get the basics configured and hand the keys off
to some people who are more capable with Drupal itself.
