The fix works only partially for me on 13.10, thank you for the try
TEST PASSED :
- remove and purge old webapp
- allow -proposed
- open firefox and log into gmail account
- accept webapp install
- check gmail webapp appeared in the launcher
- close firefox window
- launch gmail webapp
- check firefox opened a new window with gmail account
FAILED :
- there's no little white triangle left to the launcher icon showing that gmail 
firefox's window is opened
- with an opened gmail window, cliking on the icon does not display the opened 
window, but opens a new one

  - Open Firefox,
  - go to http://gmail.com
  - make sure that a launcher icon appears when integration occurs,
  - make sure that the messanging menu integration works

  None, this webapp is completely broken without this fix.
