[Desktop] Clicking on an external link in an email in GMail does not
work & open the target url (anywhere)

Bug description:
When browsing to gmail, and clicking on a target="_blank" link
embedded in a given email produces an alert popup:
"Grrr! a popup blocker may be preventing the application from opening
the page [...]"
