I added an oxide task as a webview’s navigationHistory is currently a
read-only property, so we will need an API in oxide to save /restore the
navigation history from persistent storage.

** Also affects: oxide
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Changed in: webbrowser-app
       Status: New => Triaged

Title:
save/restore navigation history with state saver

Status in Oxide Webview:
  New
Status in Web Browser App:
  Triaged

Bug description:
investigate possibility of save/restore state of navigation history
with use of state saver. This is important, especially for webapps, as
they don't have access to the global history page. When the webapp is
restored the user has no way to get back to the previous pages they
were browsing as the back button is grayed out because we're not
  restoring the history.
