Public bug reported:

If during a browsing session I open a number of new tabs and at some
point the browser process crashes (for whatever reason), at the next
launch it won’t restore the tabs I had opened in the session that
crashed.

This is because the state is serialized on disk only when the app goes
in the background.

We should have a timer that periodically saves the state, to mitigate
this issue.
