Sorry Michael, I understand this makes your experience with webbrowser-
app frustrating, but I’m not really sure where to start investigating
this issue (I can’t observe it in my up-to-date xenial VM). Maybe look
at what pulseaudio reports when trying to play sound in an oxide
webview?

Bug description:
  On my xenial desktop, no audio seems to play in webbrowser-app (but it
  does in Firefox or Chromium).
