Inbox notification in the messaging menu is inverted

Bug description:
When my Reddit inbox is empty, the messaging menu highlights itself
with a "Reddit inbox" notification on every page load.
But when I have some actual notifications there, the messaging menu
remains silent, and no highlight appears.
