That's a valid question, I don't know why. Theoretically it could be a bug in the memtest program of course. At any rate, I don't think this is a bug in the mesa OpenGL package. If you want to re-open this bug against memtest or against the kernel you can click the "Also affects distribution" link at the top of the package and then select "Ubuntu" and then type in the new package name.
