Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
I think karmic xserver-xorg-video-intel update broke x on my intel 915 laptop. I ran the update and I think I saw this package in the list... having rebooted, I'm in 800x600, and getting some serious screen flicker... :/ i was much happier with 1440x900 :) I've never reported a bug before, and I'm quite new to Linux. I realise karmic is in the first alpha stage, I've no need for a stable OS atm, so i'd like to contribute by testing, cos it's the only way i really can. I'm more than willing to contribute, but i need step-by-step breakdowns, sorry ... hopefully together we can sort this out :) the version i now have installed is 2:2.7.1-1ubuntu1.
